I’m getting excited that my reviews are getting close to hitting the 100 mark. I can’t imagine what it will feel like to hit 1,000! You are an inspiration to me. 🙂
Great blog! May I humbly suggest my novel, An Island Away, for your reading list. You can find links to excerpts and more at my blog, http://www.bentpage.wordpress.com. Thank you for your consideration.
Thanks, Daniel! I went to your site and your book sounds exactly like what I need right now – an escape into paradise. I will keep my eyes open for it. Good luck with your second novel, too!
Don, that is so wonderful! Boy howdy do they pick on Peter Buck’s nose. 🙂 My husband loves Nick Cave and I will have to send him that link. Thank you so much for sharing that. If you do find that picture of Bono’s driveway, can I use it in my review of U2 by U2?
My wife and I searched all through our photos from our Europe trip and through the garage and can’t find the photo (we did find our McTaco photo from Mexico, however). I did find a site you might like that has some photos of Bono’s home and other haunts around Dublin: http://www.atu2.com/dublin/
We had a great time at the game this weekend, even though it was hot as blazes. I hope to get up to the ‘Burg sometime this school year. I’d love to meet up with you when I do!
When I had my baby a year ago I set myself a goal of reading 100 books in his first year…didn’t make it as I didn’t realise only newborns slept all day!

Try reading “Goodnight Nobody” by Michael Knight. It’s a great read from a superior writer. I turned on to Knight when I attended a writers conference where he was on staff.
I have three books being printed as I type this and I would like to have you review them. They are called the Caribbean Chronicles Book One, Moxey’s Arrow, Book Two, Deacon’s Ascent, and Book Three, Arrow’s Revenge. I am working this week to update my website and will be going crazy trying to promote these titles over the next few months. How do I proceed to get a review from you or your site.
Hi Literate Housewife! I found you by following some of the links discussing Dewey. I wish I’d found her blog before she passed, she created a remarkable community. I’ve enjoyed reading your posts. I’ll be dropping in often!
Stumbled onto your sight looking for discussions on “Songs for the Missing”- and so glad I did. This is great and the idea of your blog being the ‘room above the garage’ is perfect!!! I never thought to set such a lofty goal -52- books!! Congrats! Life seems to get in the way of reading ever since having children, but I am making the commitment in 2009 to -make the time- for me!~ and books are what I miss most from years gone by..quickly looking at your site I think you are going to be an awesome resource and a great inspiration! Take Care- ~ Dawn
Hello There,
My name is Melisa and I’m a Professional Blogger. I have more than 3+ yrs of experience writing for the web and have covered plenty of interesting topics.
I came across your blog and was wondering if you would be interested in allowing me to write relevant & useful topics on your blog at no cost.
At this point of my writing career, I simply want to get more visibility for my writing and I will write for free as long as you are fine with me adding a small author bio section following the blog post about myself.
Please let me know if you are interested and if you’d like for me to submit a sample blog post for your approval.
Thanks a bunch,
Melisa

I set my goal of a book a week nearly twenty years ago and am still going strong nearly one thousand books later. Keep it up!
